How long to see results

Medicinal mushrooms are generally used as tonics to support the various systems and organs over time. You may see benefits as soon as 1-2 weeks or you may notice a slower improvement over 2-3 months. With Cordyceps in particular, some may see an effect quite quickly, within 1-2 days.

Cordyceps Folklore

Folklore suggest that the native herdsmen in Tibet observed yaks eating the grasses and becoming energized and sexually active. When they investigated the ‘grasses’ they found Cordyceps mushrooms. These native Tibetans began using it for themselves and noticed similar effects. They would put it in hot milk or water to create a tonic.

Energy and Libido

Cordyceps has traditionally been used in Asia for strenuous, high altitude activities and as an immune tonic. Today it is highly valued by fitness enthusiasts and professional athletes for its ability to support higher endurance and stamina, and generally to promote better energy levels and faster recovery.[1] People have also found that Cordyceps supports healthy sexual functioning, an effect that has been seen in animal studies as well.[2]

Respiratory Health

Cordyceps is thought to improve oxygen intake, and as such has been greatly studied for its potential in cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD).[3]
